Today we had a theoratical workshop/lesson about agroecology. It was presented by a local farmer whos job it is to educate farmers about agroecology. At first we got introduced to the topic with a graphic about the population rise and the problems coming with it. After that we learned a lot about the dangers of chemical pesticides and about genetic manipulation. After a short break we were educated about the definition of agroeconomy and what its goal is. We also did a exercise where we needed to name foods of different colors based on a rainbow and we learned about what these foods are helping with. To finish the workshop we were able to ask questions about the topic and discuss. The rest of the day we had free time and played football and cards.
